      <image:caption>I infuse my classes with Reiki and thoughtful and uplifting quotes and poems to recharge your mind, body and spirit. Intention cards are available to select at the beginning of class to help guide your internal dialog during class and off your mat as well. Selenite sticks, which are great for clearing your mind and any negative energy in your space, are also available for your use. We begin with a focus on breath-work and a centering meditation and flow into movement to create some heat and stretch and strengthen our mind, body, and spirit. Throughout my class you will be challenged to meet your edge with an open mind and heart. This space where your body and mind feel challenged, but where you should never feel pain, is different for everyone and that is OK. In my classes I encourage you to listen to your body and rest when you need to regardless of what others are doing around you. We meet in yoga class to practice together and share in the experience and the healing, transformative energy. I always end with a with a peaceful and nurturing Savasana and send distance Reiki while you are resting in the peace of the moment on your mat. All of my weekly classes are held at the Senexet Grange located at 628 Route 169 Woodstock, CT. To register for class head to www.momoyoga.com/roots-to-fly-wellness to secure your spot.       <image:title>About my classes - Gentle Yoga also known as Slow Vinyasa Flow</image:title>
      <image:caption>Never taken yoga before? No problem! This is a gentle, safe, slow, and nurturing class focused on meditation, breath-work, stretching and gentle strengthening. It is great for beginners or yogis looking to slow it down, breathe, and tune in. You do not need to be flexible, just come with an open mind and heart. Remember, it will take 3-5 classes to learn how to modify each pose for your body and to breathe and allow your body to release into them fully for maximum benefits. Be sure to give yourself the space to learn and grow on your yoga journey. Chairs, blocks, blankets, and straps are all available to assist you on your journey. Throughout class you are encouraged to listen to, honor, and meet your body where ever it is in the moment and to rest when you need to.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About my classes - Vinyasa Flow</image:title>
      <image:caption>Knowledge of basic yoga poses is helpful in this class as it is more moderately paced than my gentle/slow flow classes, but no worries, there will still be time to breath into each pose. Expect to create more heat with more strengthening and balancing poses, but lots of modifications are still given for all levels.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>You will find incense burning as you enter class to clear the energies of the space and bring more peace to your body, mind, spirit and soul. Setting the tone for the expansion of a calm mind and an open heart. You have the option to choose an intention card to help direct your practice as well as to borrow a stick of selenite to leave near you mat or place on you during meditation. Selenite is a great grounding and clearing crystal.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>200hr Trained Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master A Little History: My yoga journey began many years ago. It seems all my paths were leading to this. My official training began in October of 2017, with Erica Nunnally, and I graduated June of 2018. I decided to follow this path of teaching yoga full time and left my 8 year job of teaching art to preschool through eighth graders and embarked on my yoga teacher journey in the summer of 2018. I am human and infinite. To tell you about me in a way that translates past energy and into something more concrete; I am a Mama, wife, daughter, friend, loner, dancer, creatrix, fierce and soft, silly and serious, I am a seeker of knowledge, I like to celebrate the little things. Sometimes life seems to be moving too fast and the speed of it overwhelms my senses. I have peaks and I spend time in the valleys where I need to climb my way back up to the light again. I laugh hard and cry just as hard. Maybe I should clarify, I am a sensitive human. I feel things really deeply. I love music, art, dance, creating, and connection. Chatting with family and friends over coffee, tea, lavender lemonade or a glass of wine is one of my favorite things to do. I love nature. Hiking, walking, the smell of pine, the scent of rain. The blue of the sky and the sun through the trees are some of my favorite colors. My connection with nature is vital, calming and invigorating. I am passionate about herbs, crystals, energy-work and find joy in educating myself about their many unique healling and supportive qualities. I have social anxiety. Yep, I really do. Why yoga? Because I am human. Because of all the reasons listed and not listed above. Yoga helps me reconnect with the light inside of me. Yoga reminds me to breath and live intentionally and with focus in the moment. Yoga encourages me to listen to my inner voice (we have to learn to trust our intuition much more!) saying “Pause, let me help you see the choice beyond the clouds.” Yoga has allowed me to be more open more of the time (still a work in progress of course! LOL). Yoga is teaching me to stop judging myself so harshly (recovering perfectionist here... this one’s a doozy). It is helping me to “pull the weeds and plant new seeds” as my Yoga Teacher Training instructor Erica Nunnally so eloquently phrased it. Listen, we all make mistakes. Every action plants a seed. Don’t beat yourself up for past seeds planted that didn’t grow or turned out to be weeds. Weeds have nutrients for our souls too! What are the weeds trying to tell you? Does your soil need a different kind of nutrients? More sun? Less water? Breath. Dig up the weeds and plant some different seeds. Attend to the weeds without judgement or worry (the perfectionist in me here again to say... it is HARD, but so totally worth it for your well-being). Shadow work is the path to healing. Yoga helps you to liberate your truth. How does Yoga do all of that while strengthening and lengthening your physical body? It is all about balance. Come and feel the shift for yourself!</image:caption>
